Start with the outcome

Chat is where you and Doso agree on the result, the limits, what finished means, and which actions need your permission.

Tell Doso what you want to achieve: “Find a venue for our 20-person offsite in October. Keep it under $8,000, make sure it is accessible by train, and bring me three available options. Do not book anything.” Doso can ask a few focused questions, then design and run the work.

Name the outcome

Describe the state you want Doso to create, not just a topic to discuss. “Get the customer renewal ready for signature” gives Doso a destination. “Tell me about the customer” does not say what work should be completed.

Add the constraints

Mention limits that change a valid plan: deadlines, budgets, people, required sources, excluded options, or quality standards. For example: “Use the approved contract template, keep the increase under 5%, and have it ready by Thursday.”

Define what finished means

Give Doso conditions it can check. “Finished means the figures match the latest usage report, legal's required clauses are present, and the signer fields are complete.” A checkable finish line helps Doso know when to continue, when to adapt, and when to return to you.

Set permission boundaries

Say what Doso may do without asking and what needs approval. Be concrete: “You may research, compare, and draft. Ask me before contacting the customer, changing the CRM, or sending the contract.” Doso can keep moving through safe steps and pause with the exact action ready for review.

Refine it in conversation

Doso may ask about a tradeoff, a missing dependency, or the approval point that matters. Answer briefly and correct the plan whenever needed. Once the outcome is clear, Doso can create or revise the workflow and begin working.

Use context to improve the result

Relevant documents in the Library and preferences in Memories help Doso make better choices. They support the outcome; they do not replace a clear finish line or permission boundary.

Resume work already underway

Return to the same conversation when Doso has already planned or started the outcome. History keeps the plan, progress, decisions, and remaining work together so Doso can continue from the current state.
